Monty is operated by CLEVA, a French société par actions simplifiée (“CLEVA,” “Monty,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our store, place an order, contact us, or otherwise use our services.

Personal Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact and delivery information: name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and shipping address.
  • Order and payment information: products ordered, transaction history, payment status, returns, exchanges, discounts, and limited payment details. Full card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored by us in plain form.
  • Account and support information: account credentials, preferences, messages, reviews, survey responses, and information you provide to customer support.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, referring links, cart activity, and interactions with our store and advertisements.
  • Information from partners: information supplied by Shopify, payment providers, fulfillment and delivery partners, analytics providers, advertising platforms, and fraud-prevention services.

How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  • process payments, fulfill and deliver orders, provide tracking, and manage returns or exchanges;
  • provide customer service and send transactional messages about your order or account;
  • operate, personalize, measure, secure, and improve the store and our products;
  • detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
  • send marketing where permitted and measure or personalize advertising;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where European data-protection law applies, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests, and your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the checkout, remember preferences, analyze traffic, prevent fraud, and support advertising. Where required, non-essential technologies are used only after consent. You can manage available choices through the cookie banner or privacy controls on our store and through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the store from working.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Shopify, which hosts and powers our store;
  • payment processors, fraud-prevention providers, fulfillment partners, carriers, customer-support tools, cloud and IT providers, and professional advisers;
  • analytics, marketing, and advertising partners, subject to your choices and applicable law;
  • government authorities or other parties when required to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or respond to valid legal process; and
  • a buyer, successor, or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring, or sale of all or part of our business.

We do not disclose personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain advertising disclosures as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising. Where those laws apply, you may opt out using our “Your Privacy Choices” link or by contacting us.

Shopify

Our store is powered by Shopify. Information submitted through the store is processed by Shopify and may be transferred to service providers in other countries. Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and use the Shopify Privacy Portal for Shopify-specific requests.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed outside the country where you live, including in Canada, the United States, and other countries where Shopify and our providers operate. Where required, we use recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Retention and Security

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing services, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or an objection to certain processing. You may also have the right to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information, withdraw consent, appeal a decision, or complain to a data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

You can unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message. We may still send non-promotional communications, including order, account, and safety notices.

To submit a request, email gfxalka@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

U.S. State Privacy Notice

Residents of states with applicable privacy laws may request the categories or specific pieces of personal information collected, the sources and business purposes, and the categories of recipients. They may also request correction or deletion and opt out of processing considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. If our store’s privacy tools are enabled, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request for the browser or device as required by applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

Our products are purchased by adults, and our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Third-Party Links

Our store may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and we are not responsible for them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal obligations. The revised version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
